Saturday 29 October 2016 – Nature Journal Workshop Spend a day with Rebecca Staunton Coffey (Ocean Blue Textiles) and Ali exploring natural dyeing. Select from a range of plant and other materials from the Studio gardens and together we’ll create fabric and threads in a range of colourways – all exquisitely coloured by nature and time. Following lunch we’ll work on a collage exploration to create a journal cover – which could be used for safekeeping of notes, samples and ideas for more nature dyeing. Cost is $120. Sunday 30 October 2016  – Indigo and Shibori Workshop Working with a traditional vat process, participants will be able to dye multiple pieces of fabric and fibre as well as a range of resists to create beautiful indigo fabric. Participants will also create rusted fabrics, the perfect complement to traditional indigo colours.  Cost is $95. Workshop commences 9.30am. Contact Ali to register.

Sunday 27 November 2016 – Bowled Over at Tarome Working with fabric trimmings, yarn, textiles, rope, fabric and solubles create nests and bowls by recycling and repurposing materials from your existing stash and store. Learn different techniques for creating soft sculpture in thread. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea included as well as a number of materials for you to experiment with and provided by Ali. Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 February 2017- Berry Quilting Retreat, Berry, NSW   Ali will be teaching two days of nests and bowls at the Berry Quilting Retreat run by the amazing Elizabeth Dubbelde. The two day workshop will cover multiple techniques where each participant will create their individual and unique nests and bowls. Full details and registration information is available here.
